Bio: James grew up in a small seaside village in South Devon, England. Having this as a backdrop and being close to Dartmoor National Park he developed a strong interest in landscape photography at a young age, in particular seascapes due to his love of the ocean and surfing.
James studied Photography at Plymouth University. While studying under the supervision of photographers such as Jem Southan, James became engrossed in the process of shooting 4x5” and 8x10” film cameras and colour darkroom printing.
After leaving university James began to work in the film and television industry as a junior art director, then moving into standby props. Now James is a qualified photography lecturer, currently living and photographing in South Devon, UK.
